Why does photography captivate us? For me, it’s the way it sharpens our awareness. The search for the right angle, the perfect moment, the gentle balance of light and shadow forces us to notice what we might otherwise pass by. Through the lens, the familiar becomes new again.
In this photo album, I want to share some of the aspects of modern cities that I captured over the past few years. I choose to use black-and-white to filter out the jumble of colors that prevails in many cities and instead focus on the beautiful geometry of the different elements.

Geometry
Shapes are everywhere in cities. From basic triangles and circles to complex twisting atriums, geometry brings structure, order, and a quiet sense of beauty to the spaces we move through.

Ancient in Modernity
Our cities are constantly evolving, yet traces of the past remain. These surviving pieces of history stand in contrast with modernity, reminding us how tradition and progress coexist in the same space.

Human in Modern cities
What role do people play in cities? As we build and reshape our surroundings, we change along with them. Cities create new opportunities for many, while others face challenges as urbanization continues.

Final Thoughts
Why does photography captivate us? To me, it’s a unique skill that helps us pay attention. As I put this page together, I found myself revisiting the emotions and thoughts I had while taking these photos. Through photography, I not only learned to notice the small, fleeting moments around me, but also found a way to preserve them forever.
